So, I was deeply disappointed by Englands performance today. Yes, they won, but yes they also sucked. I had a discussion with Steve today about the World Cup because he came upstairs to ask if I had a iron and ironing board (which I had... oh and he was dressed in a suit, yum) So anyway, the Argentina game was on and he asked me who my top 4 were... and I couldn't answer that. I was disappointed with myself for not having given this much thought before the world cup actually began. He however is cheering for Ivory Coast! He says that Ivory is going to blow everyones mind away this year. I pointed out that as it was at 80 min, Ivory was loosing 2-nil and I mentioned that they most likely won't get a goal in. He assured me they would and that they are going to be a pleasant surprise. Just as we're arguing... or rather, stating our different opinions, Ivory scores. I coudln't believe it. He was so proud of himself. "You see?" he says. So Ivory didn't win, but they did score a somewhat impressive goal.  I wonder if one of these newer teams that aren't given much attention will actually surprise everyone this year. Like the Trini and Sweden game! That was amazingly good. It was a tie, no goal. Trinidad went into the game and everyone expected them to get killed. Before the game they even lost their goalie, so back up had to go in. And during the game, John got a red card. So they were without their original goalie, down to 10 men, and lots of pressure on them... but they did it. They managed a tie. You should have seen them at the end of the game. I have never seen anyone be so happy after tieing! It was beautiful, really. Sweden was crushed though. They probably couldn't believe what just happened. So yes, I do wonder. Do I want Trini, Ivory, Togo, Iran, Saudi Arabia etc to win? Hmm, no because I want Portugal to win... however I do want them to prove us wrong. I want them to beat Germany, beat France, beat Argentina, beat all the teams that are getting so much attention.

But anyway... I think my top four would be 1. Portugal 2. Germany (they played well against Costa Rica, plus they have the advantage of playing at home) 3. Brazil/France I can't decide 4. USA - even though I really do not want this, I do think USA has a pretty good team this year. I mean, shit... they have lots of money and 300 million people.
So of course, I'm super excited about the Portuguese game tomorrow! 2:30pm TSN people! Watch, watch! If you're not home, tape, tape! :) I, however am most likely the only one who is overly excited about the Portugal-Angola game.

Ok, enough soccer. When Steve came upstairs today, he saw my Y membership card and he got all excited about the fact that I go there too and "We should go together sometime". Yeah. Right. Ok. Now I'm going to be afraid to run into him at the gym. It would be awful... really awful. I could not work out with him. Nope, never! Oh well... I can't bother to think too much about that right now. He left for a wedding so I'm blasting my music! :) Oh, happy me!

I wonder what Jono is doing...

I also wonder when I'm going to get a job...

Hmmm, I think I need to make a movie list on here. I keep writing movies that I need to buy down on paper, but I keep loosing the papers. So now, since I have all my papers with me right now...

- Sex and Lucia
- C.R.A.Z.Y
- Rabbit Proof Fence
- Derailed
- Mullholland Dr ( I need to understand the mind of David Lynch )
- Mean Creek
- Coffee and Cigarettes
- Munich (of course)
- Match Point
- The Believer
- Imaginary Heroes
- Goodbye Lenin
- Paradise Now
- Three Colours (it's Kiewsloski, of course I need it)
- Talk to Her (Almodovar! And I love his transexual theme in movies)
- Before Sunrise ... I can't watch Before Sunset without watching Before Sunrise... it's like it's not complete, so I need to complete it. Oh Daniel, I love you for making me watch these movies with you.

And that's it for now. These I need by the end of the summer or I won't be sane. I will most likely add to that list though, which is unhealthy.

Wow... I can see the moon perfectly from where I'm sitting and it's still light outside. Hmmm, I think I need to take a picture. Yes... and watch a movie.

They didn't show Il Divo doing the opening ceremony. I'm so mad! The Germany-Costa Rica game was still fun though.

I want Switzerland, France and Spain to win for blatantly obvious reasons :D I would love to be in Il Divo's house or where ever during this week's Switzerland vs France game!
